Teachers need to strike to take back control from a “brutally racist state”, the president elect of the biggest teaching union in Europe says.
Daniel Kebede, who becomes general secretary of the National Education Union in September, told a Socialist Worker event that the strikes were about much more than pay.
Four days of teacher strikes over pay have already been held in England in February and March and five more days of action will take place in the summer term.
