The Education Committee has today launched a new inquiry into the way Ofsted inspects schools.
It comes after Ofsted announced a number of reforms to school inspections and proposals to amend the complaints system for both school and early years settings.
The cross-party committee will look at the current inspection framework and examine whether this has had an impact on school standards, as well as the workload and wellbeing of teachers and school leaders.
MPs will also consider whether Ofsted ratings and feedback is ‘conducive’ to helping schools improve.
