A PARENT told how her daughter was left starving after refusing to eat her school dinner because it "looked like it had been stepped on".

The parent - who asked not to be named - said school dinners are "vile" at QE High in Carmarthen, Wales.

They claim their daughter would rather starve than eat the £2.60 per-day meals, and asks for packed lunches instead.

They said: "My daughter sent me a picture of her food in school.

"It was a jacket potato with cheese but it looked like it had been thrown on the plate.
