The National Citizen Service (NCS) Trust and the Duke of Edinburgh’s (DoE) Award are linking up to run a pilot scheme to provide enrichment activities in up to 200 secondary schools.

The two organisations have been awarded £2.7m from the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and the Department for Education to run the enrichment partnerships pilot.

The pilots will take place across schools in education investment areas in the North East, North West and East of England.

These schools are being targeted, through the government’s Levelling Up agenda, as they are among the third of council areas where educational attainment is the weakest.
