Children must no longer be taught they can be born in the wrong body, a coalition of campaigners has demanded.
More than 80 pressure groups and public figures are calling for an end to the spread of “gender ideology” and the prescription of puberty blockers to young people by the NHS and private doctors.
They believe schools should never allow pupils to “socially transition” through changing names, pronouns and uniforms and that transgender athletes should be banned from female sports.
The group has launched a campaign called the “Declaration for Biological Reality”, which also seeks to strengthen women’s rights by protecting single-sex spaces such as lavatories and hospital wards.
