Today and tomorrow (12th-13th March 2024), teacher members of the National Education Union are again taking strike action at The Cathedral School, Llandaff, after the disappointing offer on pay and pensions from their employer.
With dozens likely to take to the picket line again this morning, the members are hoping for a fair offer from the employer – which would at least maintain pay parity with the maintained sector.
Speaking about the disappointment felt by members, Emma Forrest, NEU’s assistant general secretary, responsible for Wales, said:
“NEU members in CSL are disappointed – the employer needs to improve their offer to see members return to work. No one takes strike action lightly, and the ask is not unreasonable – members must have pay parity with the state sector.
