Vital that school leader and teacher pay award is fully-funded for all schools says NAHT Cymru

Responding to the Welsh Government's announcement of a 5.5% pay rise for school leaders and teachers for 2024/25, Laura Doel, national secretary at school leaders’ union NAHT Cymru, said: “We welcome the Welsh Government’s confirmation that it will honour its agreement to match the pay uplift announced for school leaders and teachers in England, which will mean an award of 5.5% in Wales.
