Nadhim Zahawi has intervened in the row over transgender ideology in schools yesterday, insisting parents have the right to know what is being taught.
The Education Secretary pledged action after concerns pupils are being taught contested gender theory as fact.
Last week MPs heard some schools are refusing to show parents teaching materials used in sex education classes about transgenderism.
Yesterday in the Commons Tory MP Nick Fletcher said: ‘Caution is needed if books [are] to encourage a child to question their biological sex and to believe they were born in the wrong body because of gender non-conformity – not conforming to society’s stereotypes.
