Scotland’s biggest education union wants to reverse plummeting school grades by reverting back to the emergency coronavirus assessments that saw teachers award top marks to half their pupils.
Andrea Bradley, general secretary of the Educational Institute of Scotland, said that there were “strong elements” of the 2021 grades awarded using teacher judgment that should be brought back in future years.
