Following the publication of the report by the Independent Welsh Pay Review Body (IWPRB), the NASUWT-The Teachers’ Union surveyed its members on the Welsh Government’s proposals for the teachers’ pay award for 2022/23.
Of the nearly 700 teachers who responded:
- 70% said they disagreed with or were angry with the proposed award;
- 78% believe the pay award should be rejected as inadequate/unacceptable.
