Teachers deserve better than latest COSLA pay offer

Speaking about the latest pay offer of 5% made by COSLA late on Friday night, just 48 hours after an earlier 3.5% offer, Dr Patrick Roach, General Secretary of NASUWT – The Teachers’ Union said:

“The latest correspondence from the employers has entered the territory of farce. Teachers deserve better.

“The employers clearly thought they could try to get away with making an insulting offer of 3.5% just a few days ago.

“This latest volte-face from the employers remains an insult and a substantial pay cut for dedicated and hardworking teachers.”
