Head teachers say it is still too soon to return to normal GCSEs as the exam regulator suggests that measures to help teenagers may extend beyond this year.
Pupils were given support materials such as formula sheets, advance notice of the focus of exams and more optional content this year, as part of a two-step return to the usual process next year.
