An independent school with a long Anglican tradition has been accused of “riding roughshod” over freedom of speech after it allegedly sacked its chaplain for claiming that pupils did not have to accept “LGBT ideology”.
The Rev Dr Bernard Randall has also claimed that senior officials at Trent College — a day and boarding school near Nottingham — referred him to the government’s counterterrorism programme over a sermon he gave in 2018.
