67% of women teachers are worried about the impact of a below-inflation teachers’ pay award on their ability to meet their everyday living costs, a poll of teachers by NASUWT-The Teachers’ Union has found.

A further 60% have said they are worried about the impact of rising energy costs on their ability to sufficiently heat their home.

Around 475 NASUWT members attending the Union’s Women Teachers’ Consultation Conference, held on Saturday 8th October in Birmingham, were invited to take part in a poll examining the impact of the cost of living crisis on them.
