Three British teachers cleared of manslaughter over the death of Jessica Lawson on a school trip to France may have to return to court.
The teachers left a French court in tears after being acquitted over the 12-year-old’s drowning.
But now they may have to go back to France because prosecutors have appealed against their acquittals.
Jessica was swimming in a lake near Limoges, in west-central France, in 2015 with a group from Wolfreton School, Willerby, East Yorkshire, when a pontoon capsized and she drowned.
Teachers Steven Layne, Chantelle Lewis and Daisy Stathers, who were in charge of the group, along with lifeguard Leo Lemaire, were all accused of involuntary manslaughter by gross negligence.
