To mark Islamophobia Awareness Month, the NASUWT-The Teachers’ Union has formally underlined its commitment to working to tackle anti-Muslim hatred and racism in all its forms in our education system.
The Union is committed to using its platform and influence to press for greater action to raise awareness of and tackle Islamophobia within schools and colleges.
Building an understanding of Islamophobia and its impacts into the curriculum and training the education workforce on tackling Islamophobia and promoting equality are building blocks in challenging racism and prejudice which is still holding back the prospects and undermining the dignity of too many Muslims in our society.
