Members of the National Education Union (NEU), the UK’s largest teaching union, are to take strike action over pay in February and March.
Teachers in England and Wales who are members of the National Education Union (NEU) have voted to strike over pay.
National strikes are planned for 1 February, 15 and 16 March, as well as several other regional dates.
NEU members in England and Wales voted ‘overwhelmingly’ for strike action in response to a ‘failure’ by the education secretary and employers in Wales to provide teachers with a fully-funded pay increase that at least matches inflation.
