Being a 'geeky' teacher means doing something different with teaching materials. In her book, Jones provides a toolkit that offers both innovative thinking and reminders of some of the more traditional teaching methods that can still have a place in the modern classroom, if applied correctly.
By putting a new spin on techniques and technologies that already exist in classrooms Jones hopes teachers can to exploit every potential learning opportunity and be comfortable taking risks by introducing resources from outside their subject area.
