Commissioned by Osted Chief Inspector Amanda Spielman, this research studies leaders' curriculum intentions, their implementation, and their impact on pupil outcomes. The report was collated through inspections of primary schools with high achieving pupils, and examines how their education in their Reception Year contributed to their success. It found that most successful classes placed reading at the heart of their curriculum, and had improved their assessment processes.
