Hi all,

I have recently been appointed as KS3 lead teacher in Science, and I'm keen to develop our summative assessments; both the use and the quality. This is important in light of the increased demand at KS4 in term of content and assessment. Does anyone have any suggestions, experience, opinions that they would be happy to share?

Hi Yvonne

Wondered if you'd seen 'Beyond Levels: alternative assessment approaches developed by teaching schools' from the National College for Teaching & Leadership (September 2014) ?

... but hopefully someone might be able to share some working insights too.
