In its twelfth reprint the Teacher's Toolkit provides an overview of innovations in teaching and presents over 50 learning techniques for all subjects and age groups.

The toolkit is divided into five sections: design tools; tools for teaching and learning; tools for managing group work, behaviour and personal responsibility; operating tools; and audit tools. Within each section there is a broad selection of tools that cater for new teachers, and more experienced professionals.

Each suggested activity has a how to do it section, a why to do it section, and how it might be applied to different subjects and possible variations. This allows first time readers to quickly contextualise the activity, how and why it would be used and how it might be adapted to suit the needs of their particular class.

In listing research, EdCentral makes no judgment or recommendation as to its quality, validity or methodology and none should be inferred. Through peer ratings left by education practitioners, EdCentral’s aim is to support the development of a repository of shared knowledge and experience.
